PAPAYA - A Healthy Fruit

              Papaya was the only studied food found to halt breast cancer.    Papaya is a store-house of cancer-fighting lycopene. A New National Savings Certificate from India Post. Changes in Indian Railways Tatkal Scheme

Dear Friends,   The Changes in Tatkal Scheme of Indian Railways come into effect .   Some info for our Valuable Readers.  The new Tatkal booking scheme in which the train reservation period has been reduced to one day from two days will come into effect from Monday. Besides, other changes to facilitate availability of Tatkal scheme to bonafide passengers will be applicable from that day as part of the measures decided by railways to prevent misuse of the facility. As per the decision, the restriction period for agents is being extended from one hour to two hours (8 am to 10 am) and there will be no refund on confirmed Tatkal tickets except during cancellation of trains and late running of trains. "It was necessary to make changes in Tatkal scheme as there were many complaints against Tatkal bookings. We had to take some steps to prevent its misuse. During Children's Day, we come across the following lines. " Their world is innocent .  Protect them" " Their freedom is priceless.  Encourage them" "Their dreams are fragile. Nurture them " These lines make lot of thoughts in our mind. Are our children  enjoying the fun and happiness of Childhood now.? The Answer is a Very Big NO . The yesteryear children heard stories from their grand parents. They played with their friends in the streets. They make paperboats during rain.  etc etc. etc. Their life is full of fun with playing.                                            Now we think about the present situation ? Let us take a third standard student After school hours , she has to go to Talent exam class (1 Hour) - Now Time is 5.30 This is the time for Co -curricular - 6.30 This is time to start the home work (Work load) - (Lot and Lot of homework) - upto 9.00 She goes to bed after eating at 9.30                                  

India Post Interests

The Precisous Postal Department of India is going to Change its Rate of Interest of many schemes.   A gist is furnished below.   Mat urit y period for Monthly Income Scheme (MIS) and National Savings Certificate (NSC) will be reduced from 6 years to 5 years. (ii)             A new NSC instrument, with maturity period of 10 years , would be introduced. (iii)            Kisan Vikas Patras (KVPs) will be discontinued . (iv)             The annual ceiling on investment under Public Provident Fund (PPF) Scheme will be increased    from Rs.   70,000 to Rs..1 lakh. (v)              Interest on loans obtained from PPF will be increased to 2% p.a.from existing 1% p.a.     (vi)           Liquidity of Post Office Time Deposit (POTD) – 1, 2, 3 & 5 years – will be improved by allowing pre-mature withdrawal at a rate of interest 1% less than the time deposits of comparable maturity.  Ramanujan's work in his handwrting.  Dear Friends, Many of us know that the famous English film " Tomorrow Never Dies ".  But a good news now is  the Director of that  Film Roger Spottiswoode is now directing a film on Our Mathematical Genius  Srinivasa Iyengar Ramanujan.  Born in Erode on 22.12.1887, Tamil Nadu, India, to a poor Brahmin family, Ramanujan first encountered formal mathematics at age 10. He had an astonishing Natuaral ability.  He mastered " Advanced Trignometry at the Age of 12. He worked as a clerk in the Accountant-General's office at the Madras Port Trust Office to support himself.In 1912–1913, he sent samples of his theorems to three academics at the University of Cambridge. Only Hardy recognised the brilliance of his work, subsequently inviting Ramanujan to visit and work with him at Cambridge. How many of us know that Dannis Ritchie who invented the Spectacular language died on Oct 12 2011 ?
