HALWA

All of us know that Tirunelveli a place in south tamilnadu is famous for Halwa.  The halwa is very tasty because of the Tamirabarani River Water which has copper content.  [The word Tamiram in tamil means copper].                                          
                     Even though there are many shops in Tirunelveli which has the name boards ' Tirunelvei halwa', the Original shop is located opposite to Swami Nellayappar Temple in Tirunelveli Town.
                            The shop daily opens around 6 PM and closed at 9 PM.  Many people wait before opening of the shop in the evening to buy Halwa. The simple appearance shop is told by the local people is called 'IRUTTU KADAI HALWA' that is 'Dark shop halwa'.
