The blog introduces another location for your vacation. That is also in Kerala.  It is a famous Krishna temple and is one of the most important places of worship for Hindus and is often referred to as "Bhooloka Vaikuntam"  which translates to the holy abode of Vishnu on Earth.


The divine idol installed here represents the enchanting form of Sree Krishna endowed with the four lustrous arms carrying the conch Panchajanya, the discus Sudarshana Chakra, the mace Kaumodaki and the lotus. Adorned with the divine Tulasi garland the idol represents the majestic form of Maha Vishnu as revealed to Vasudeva and Devaki at the time of Krishna Avatar
  
 There is another Siva Temple within one kilometer from Guruvayur. It is called Mammiyoor Temple. Every devotee who goes to Guruvayoor is supposed to go to Mammiyoor Temple also.
 There is a elephant Sanctuary near Guruvayur within 3 kilometers called Anakotta Sanctuary. There are lot of elephants in the sanctuary.

           There are lot of Hotels around the temple for stay.

For India post employees there is a holiday home.
How to stay at the holiday home ?
  • 1. Prepare a manuscript application addressed to Senior Supdt of Post offices, Thirusur Division, Kerala Cirlce furnishing the particulars like period of stay , number of persons etc. with a postal order.
  • 2. Submit the application through proper channel.
  • 3.You wil get the allotment order by post if the holiday home is vacant on the dates mentioned in your application.
  • 4. The Fee for holiday home is very meagre and it is below Rs.20.
Visit Guruvayur and Get the blessing of Sri Guruvayoorappan.

This Post is about Karungulam, a Vishnu Skethra in Southern part of Tamilnadu.   Situated in Tirunelveli Tiruchendur Main road in Tuticorin District , The Vishnu Temple is very famous.   The Venkatachalapathi Temple is on the hill called Vagulagiri.  The enshrined god in this temple is in the form of two sticks(Tharkals) which are used to drive the car in the temple car festival.
